Asian Art

The Wing of Asian Art includes 5,000 years of asian culture, traditions and art. The multitude of artwork includes decorative arts, textiles and sculptures, each made their own unique stylized technique sharing a story anywhere from the third millennium B.C. to the twenty-first century. 

Kinrande

Kinrande is inspired by a Ming-era cobalt blue and gold pot in the Met’s collection. Available as pillows, throws, and duvets, the gold and bronze motif is embroidered onto a marine blue linen/cotton ground.

Inspired by a Meiji-era Kimono, our Sashiko duvet set distills the motifs of the kimono into a 100% cotton jacquard. Garment washed for softness.

Sashiko Hishi-Moyo

Inspired by a Meiji-era Kimono, our Sashiko Hishi-Moyo designs closely reinterpret a Meiji-era Kimono in black and white. Hishi-moyo denotes a sashiko technique forming a diamond pattern.
