The Museum's collection of Islamic art ranges in date from the 7th to the 21st century. Its more than 15,000 objects reflect the great diversity and range of the cultural traditions of Islam.

Tavus
Inspired by a 16th-century Iznik dish, this design means "peacock" in Turkish. Embroidered on a herringbone ground in many colors, with decorative clipped fringe.

Divani Peacock
This delightful embroidery features a divani script in the peacock’s tail, consisting of blessings for an Ottoman sultan.

Iznik
Iznik, inspired by a blue & white bowl, is a soft geometric with a fully embroidered pillow and a bordered throw.

Doppio Sheeting
Inspired by a textile fragment attributed to Egypt, our bedding reinterprets the roundel and stripes on the original as parallel lines of the horizon under the sun.

Indigo
Inspired by the motif on a 15th-century Egyptian tile, Indigo's elegantfloral pattern is presented in a classic white-and-indigo color palette.
